Thanks to our lovely community we now have completed side beds! Jeremy and Andrew cut the delivered timber into kits according to the plan for the raised beds and Nick built them in place for us.
Fundraising continues for phases 2 and 3 of the project; the outside sensory garden and the swings. We now have 3 benches at the back of the hall for hanging out in the sun!
Timber has been ordered for the raised bed in the middle of the polytunnel. Once that is built and the site levered with gravel dust then the beds will act as shuttering for the concrete paths, hopefully to be completed in the next couple of months.
A community volunteer, Nick Hales, is going to build a bed on legs in the middle of the polytunnel to accommodate wheelchair users. We also think we might utilise one or two of the wee beds at the end as sandpits and have a children's play area.
